Going today to tướng kiểm tra out an M6 gloss, spruce. Thanks to tướng the education and resources provided by CT Full and Sleigh, I can tell this is a solid top, lam sides and back built on 10/5/04. What I can't decipher is an F stamped on the headstock after the 8 digit serial number. The F is slightly out of alignment with the 8 digits. There is also what looks to tướng be FS ink stamped on the label, upside down and just above the large S in Seagull. Bạn đang xem: lam fs tren fb I am guessing this a Factory Second (FS)? eagleeye1200 , As far as I know, yes, for Seagull, "FS" means factory second. Don't let that bother you though. I myself and others here have had factory seconds from Seagull and it's pretty unanimous that either: A) not a flaw could be found sánh nothing to tướng worry about. It was just not perfect to tướng Godin's QC standards. =or= B) Same giảm giá, but the defect is sánh small it is negligible and irrelevant to tướng the quality, look and sound of the guitar. CTGull , can verify and correct if necessary. |

Thanks TonyKgull. The M6 looked, felt, and sounded great, sánh brought it home page with mạ. I had also reached out to tướng the good folks at Seagull who advised it is a factory second, and their factory seconds have no structural flaws, only cosmetic as you said.
It has a few minor dings, which is not surprising given its age. My guess is it is a second because there is a small lighter colored striation across the grain on the top. Took some looking to tướng find it, and it appears to tướng be in the woodgrain itself rather kêu ca the finish. Bottom line I am very pleased with this instrument. Thanks for your response.
